My New Years Resolutions + Staying Warm

WOW. I can not believe it is already 2018! 2018 for me means new goals and cold weather in Arkansas (well until March)! Today, I am going to share with you my goals for 2018 and how to stay warm (+ comfy) for cold days! I am so excited the new year is here, but 2017 was so great I hope this year tops it! I traveled to Vegas, Cabo, Nashville (x2), and Colorado to go snow skiing. I marked 2.5 years of being with Derek, and one year of living together! I threw Henry a doggy birthday party for his 2nd birthday, yes I know... I am extra, and I watched 4 friends get married! I feel like this past year has been a whirlwind, but with some great times (and a couple of sad ones) we have made it to the end of one and the beginning of another. 

New Years Resolutions to me are silly. You shouldn't need a new year to better yourself and make new goals! But here I am, going into the new year with goals that I have had but not pursued. 

Some of my resolutions are:

1. Find a Church Home || One of my favorite things during college was church. I would go multiple times a week and I loved having a church family to help keep me accountable in my faith. I have been in Little Rock for a year and still have not found (or really even looked) for a church home. This is the year for that!

2. Read More Books || I love reading. This year, I have found myself indulging in more Netflix than literature and I do not like that! I want to read my books that I have bought and never opened. I want to keep my mind fresh, and I always want to be able to remember the last book I read. I love to read, I just need to actually do it more often!

3. Get Back In Shape || Yes, yes... I know... This is the most cliche New Years Resolution of them all, but hey, gotta start somewhere! This is the year for self love and self help! I am going to try to stop being so hard on myself and really try to better myself by being healthy! You won't change your body unless you do something about it!

4. Love Myself || This kind of goes hand in hand with getting in shape, but the last couple of weeks I have been so so hard on myself. I have gained some weight this year and I have really not taken it well. I have been so upset about how I look and its time for me to love myself whatever I look like! Does that mean I need to not do anything about it? Absolutely not. But if I am trying in a healthy way to better myself, I should love myself in the process!

Next up, staying warm...

I love cold weather as I have mentioned before! But sometimes a hoodie isn't going to cut it! I like to stay warm while also staying cute! One of my favorite ways is putting on some fleece lined leggings, boots, and an oversized sweater! If its super cold, even add a cute hat and a scarf and you're good to go! Today, it was about 24 in Arkansas, but it felt so much colder! We just got back from Colorado and it felt colder here than there! (Maybe because I am not in ski clothes though! hehe!) I will post that video below btw!

I am on the hunt for fleece lined faux leather leggings! Doesnt that sound like the best way to stay warm and cute all at the same time?! I sure think so!
